Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive software test plans and automation strategies.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python and BDD frameworks and tools.
- Perform Databricks, Snowflake, AWS cloud, API, database, performance, and end-to-end testing.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
- Analyze defects, debug failures, identify root causes, and support resolution with developers.
- Contribute to test planning, estimation, execution, coverage improvement, and testing metrics.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, QA teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Support Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint goals, stakeholder demonstrations, and team improvement.
- Coordinate issue resolution, track risks and action items, and facilitate communication across teams.
- Promote Agile practices, continuous learning, code quality, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and automation development.
- Strong working knowledge of BDD automation frameworks and tools including Playwright, RestAssured, TypeScript, Cypress, and Selenium.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI and using Git version control.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API concepts and JSON/XML data formats.
- Proven experience with Databricks testing, Snowflake testing, AWS cloud testing, API testing, database testing, and end-to-end test validation.
- Experience with GitLab Duo and modern automation tooling, including AI adoption for test deliverables.
- Experience supporting, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks across iterative development, system testing, and regression cycles.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology, Software Testing Lifecycle, and defect management processes.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Banking domain experience is preferred.
- Performance testing in cloud environments and awareness of AWS and Azure environments are highly valued.
