Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, demonstrations, validation activities, and proofs of value for prospective customers.
- Own technical evaluations, including solution design, POC/POV execution, workshop design, tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.
- Partner with New Business Account Executives and regional sales teams on account strategies for customer acquisition and expansion.
- Build relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders and guide them through GitLab-driven digital transformation.
- Advise customers on software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices.
- Represent customer feedback, use cases, and competitive insights to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
- Create reusable technical examples, best-practice guidance, and technical collateral for customers and partners.
- Maintain and expand expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies.
Requirements
- Experience engaging customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar solution design and evaluation roles.
- Proficiency with the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms.
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing and related deployment, security, and operations technologies.
- Ability to lead proofs of concept or value, contribute to tenders or audits, and design and run workshops or value stream assessments.
- Strong technical communication and presentation skills for audiences ranging from practitioners to senior business and technical decision makers.
- Ability to build trusted relationships, listen empathetically, and advocate for customers internally.
