Responsibilities
- Design and publish security reference architectures for single-tenant, multi-tenant, hybrid, private-cloud, and public-cloud k0rdent AI deployments.
- Define defense-in-depth, tenant isolation, trust boundaries, security controls, and risk, cost, performance, and operability trade-offs across the full infrastructure and AI stack.
- Secure bare-metal systems, firmware, hosts, virtual machines, Kubernetes clusters, networks, storage, secrets, certificates, public-cloud environments, models, and AI applications.
- Research emerging security technologies and threats, prototype alternative designs, measure results, and publish internal or external technical findings.
- Build and run customer and partner proofs of concept using automation, policies, and tooling, then validate results through threat modeling, configuration review, and hands-on testing.
- Act as the security subject matter expert in customer discovery, architecture workshops, design reviews, security questionnaires, and strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and security partners and feed research and customer findings into Product, Engineering, Security, and the k0rdent AI roadmap.
- Present at conferences, webinars, and partner summits; run technical workshops; and write reference architectures, solution briefs, blog posts, and enablement content.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in security engineering or security architecture, including at least 3 years securing cloud, Kubernetes, or large-scale infrastructure platforms.
- Customer-facing experience as a solutions architect, pre-sales engineer, consultant, or technical lead.
- Experience designing secure deployments on at least one major public cloud and on private-cloud or bare-metal infrastructure.
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux hardening, secure boot, TPM, hypervisor and virtual-machine isolation, KubeVirt, Kubernetes security, multi-tenancy, secrets and key management, PKI, identity, network security, storage security, AI security, and software supply-chain security.
- Programming or scripting experience in Python or Go and comfort with Git, CI, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to present to technical and executive audiences and lead hands-on workshops.
- Experience working across distributed international teams and time zones.
- Preferred qualifications include compliance-framework experience, confidential computing and remote attestation, GPU cloud or HPC security, DPU security, offensive security, Mirantis products, security certifications, open-source or Kubernetes contributions, public technical writing, standards participation, research, CVEs, patents, or white papers.
