Responsibilities
- Design and build frameworks, tools, and services that improve infrastructure reliability, observability, scalability, and operability.
- Lead end-to-end infrastructure projects across multiple systems and teams, from scoping and design through rollout.
- Improve the reliability and operability of stateful infrastructure including MySQL, OpenSearch, and DynamoDB.
- Debug production issues across the stack, participate in an on-call rotation, and implement durable fixes.
- Partner with product teams on service-oriented architecture that supports fast and reliable development.
- Share knowledge through code reviews, design discussions, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering background with experience writing production code and designing systems in Go, Python, Scala, or TypeScript.
- At least 5 years of experience building and operating backend systems at scale.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and SQL, NoSQL, and search technologies in cloud environments.
- Experience with AWS services such as RDS, EKS, and IAM, along with Terraform and monitoring tools such as Datadog or similar.
- Solid understanding of SRE principles including SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and incident response.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-navigation skills.
- Must be comfortable building and shipping production systems rather than only writing scripts.
- Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with willingness to apply them to improve productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
