Lead Machine Learning Engineer - Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX)

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for real-world business problems.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions using knowledge of modeling techniques, feature selection, training, tuning, validation, and model behavior.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate tests and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and cross-functional Agile teams to build big data and ML applications.
- Retrain, maintain, and monitor models in production.
- Build or leverage cloud-based architectures and platforms to deploy optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct optimized data pipelines that feed ML models.
- Apply test automation, monitoring, governance, vulnerability-reduction, and Responsible and Explainable AI practices.
- Provide technical leadership for teams developing ML solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 6 years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Scala, or Java.
- At least 2 years of experience building, scaling, and optimizing ML systems.
- Preferred: master’s or doctoral degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or a similar field.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience building production-ready data pipelines that feed ML models.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience with scikit-learn, PyTorch, Dask, Spark, or TensorFlow.
- Preferred: experience with performant, resilient, maintainable code; ML data gathering and preparation; public cloud deployment; and complex ML data pipeline design and evaluation.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of people leadership and at least 1 year leading teams developing ML solutions.
- Preferred: ML industry impact through presentations, papers, blog posts, open source contributions, or patents.
- Preferred: experience using interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
