Founding Backend Engineer(Go)

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Go.
- Design and optimize AWS-based cloud solutions, including EC2, Lambda, S3, SQS, and SNS.
- Design, operate, and optimize PostgreSQL, Neo4J, Redis, and Elasticsearch databases.
- Develop, manage, and optimize Docker-based containerized applications.
- Automate processes with Bash and Python scripting.
- Design, use, and maintain secure, performant RESTful and gRPC APIs.
- Implement caching, messaging queues, and event-driven architectures where appropriate.
- Work with frontend engineers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver robust applications.
- Monitor, debug, and improve backend performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Build the entire platform from scratch and support production SaaS operations.
- Contribute to security architecture for identity, AI agents, and enforcement capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Go or GoLang experience.
- Hands-on coding experience building systems from scratch and working with multiple architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and containerized workloads.
- Experience designing RESTful and gRPC APIs, including use of Gin.
- Experience with messaging systems such as SQS and Kafka.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions or similar tools.
- Experience operating PostgreSQL with RDS or Aurora and Neo4J or similar databases.
- Experience with AI agents, LLM-based systems, MCP, RAG, prompts, embeddings, and vector technologies.
- Experience with AWS Bedrock, LangChain, pgvector, or similar AI technologies.
- Experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and related monitoring, logging, and observability practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues end to end and support production SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of SaaS integrations and app-to-app permission flows.
- Experience in startup or scale-up environments and the ability to work with high ownership and speed.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and English communication skills.
- Nice-to-have experience with Java and Python.
- Nice-to-have experience with security architecture, identity security, security engineering, cybersecurity, compliance frameworks, OAuth/OIDC, identity providers, access controls, SIEM platforms, permission models, identity graphs, Zero Trust, and AI/LLM security.
- Excellent German communication skills are a nice-to-have.
