Responsibilities
- Own high-level and low-level designs for core platform services, asynchronous processing components, and enterprise ERP and banking integration adapters.
- Guide the migration from monolithic boundaries to cohesive microservices while preserving uptime and data integrity.
- Establish architectural governance, lead Architecture Review Boards, and review critical pull requests.
- Architect multi-tenant cloud-native systems supporting high-concurrency, petabyte-scale financial transactions and strict SLAs.
- Diagnose and resolve bottlenecks involving distributed transactions, locking, memory management, and network payloads.
- Oversee zero-trust security compliance, fault tolerance, automated failover, and disaster recovery readiness.
- Design relational and non-relational schemas, indexing strategies, partitioning models, and archival frameworks.
- Scale event-driven systems and real-time data streaming with messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Optimize Redis-based caching architectures for intensive financial computations.
- Mentor senior engineers, lead proofs of concept, collaborate with Product Management on roadmaps, and reduce technical debt.
Requirements
- 12–16 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years operating successfully as a Technical Architect or Principal Engineer for enterprise SaaS products.
- Expert-level mastery of Java, including Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JVM internals, garbage collection tuning, multithreading, and high-concurrency programming.
- Experience building distributed microservices, gRPC services, and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Advanced proficiency with SQL and NoSQL storage engines, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Hands-on experience with query execution plans, partitioning, and database tuning under heavy read and write loads.
- Production experience with AWS or Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and enterprise CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Strong architectural leadership, technical mentoring, and experience driving technical roadmaps and proof-of-concept initiatives.
