Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and operate customer-facing distributed systems.
- Build event-driven systems, define service contracts, and develop APIs for internal and external partners.
- Solve scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability challenges in cloud-native applications.
- Create agent workflows, executable specifications, automated checks, and engineering guardrails.
- Clarify ambiguous problems, define success criteria, identify risks, and challenge unclear requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to escalations for critical services.
- Mentor teammates and onboard new joiners.
Requirements
- Professional experience with Go and distributed, cloud-native applications.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kafka, and gRPC.
- Experience designing event-driven systems and microservices.
- Experience building APIs used by internal or external partners.
- Hands-on experience with agentic engineering, including executable specifications, agent workflows, and automated guardrails.
- Strong understanding of reliability, performance, and maintainability trade-offs, with the ability to explain them in business terms.
- Continuous-learning mindset, willingness to mentor, and strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
