Responsibilities
- Improve test processes and automation in a collaborative development environment.
- Coach and mentor team members on testing and quality practices.
- Review peer code and mentor more junior team members.
- Act as the team authority for QA and automation and provide evidence-based release-readiness recommendations.
- Build reliable automated tests and tailored test frameworks.
- Ensure appropriate functional and non-functional test coverage.
- Configure CI to balance test coverage, confidence, and team efficiency.
- Advocate quality practices across teams.
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise writing automated tests, applying test automation design patterns, and building frameworks for continuous delivery environments.
- Experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Practical understanding of API testing, RESTful web services, and HTTP protocols; Postman or Pact experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Java 17+ and React.js 18 is a bonus.
- Experience with SonarQube, Artillery, and Zephyr Scale/TM4J is a bonus.
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, Amazon SNS/SQS, or Apache Kafka is a bonus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with software engineers, configure environments, inspect databases, and build test frameworks.
