Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality of product feature development.
- Design test plans by inspecting code changes, identifying test scenarios and impact areas, and understanding feature functionality.
- Build reusable automated test scripts with developers using Python.
- Review unit and functional test scripts and maximize test coverage to reduce manual testing.
- Execute and analyze tests, identify coverage gaps, create additional scripts, and report test metrics.
- Support customer-reported issue investigation and bug resolution.
- Participate in project planning and execution to support efficient delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of software testing experience focused on automation.
- Proficiency with a defect tracking system, code repositories, and IDEs.
- Ability to understand and write code using languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, and JUnit.
- Genuine interest in software quality assurance, issue detection, and analysis.
- Collaborative, proactive approach with a commitment to continuous learning.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodology.
- Experience in a SaaS-based product company or fast-paced startup is a plus.
