Senior Architect - Commercial Life Sciences (Remote)

Base Salary
$100k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in business process due diligence for customer application implementation projects
- Advise customers on commercial technology strategy, application architecture, data architecture, integrations, migrations, and business process maturity
- Design commercial architecture landscapes and create end-user requirements and other deliverables throughout the Veeva application delivery lifecycle
- Create assessments, health checks, and commercial architecture materials supporting solution design
- Meet with senior management and executives as a subject-matter expert
- Translate complex client and vendor concepts for audiences with varying levels of technical understanding
- Provide direction to junior team members and support recruitment efforts
- Develop best practices and accelerators to grow team capabilities
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and Veeva colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience working with commercial IT architecture in life sciences
- Experience with commercial solutions and architecture design, data architecture, and salesforce effectiveness
- Knowledge and applicable work experience in commercial operations within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Proven ability to lead colleagues and customers through complex situations to achieve results
- Strong presentation skills and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in English
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Prior consulting experience is preferred
- Product knowledge of Veeva Commercial Cloud applications is preferred
- Experience working with or for a pharmaceutical or medical devices company is preferred
- Knowledge and applicable work experience with business process development, SOPs, governance processes, and program management is preferred
- Additional experience with data warehousing, web services, ETL, SQL, Force.com, FTP, and Batch CSV integrations is preferred
