Responsibilities
- Lead solution design workshops and produce standards-compliant designs for ITAM, ITSM, and cross-module initiatives.
- Own ITAM architecture and delivery across HAM Pro, SAM Pro, asset lifecycles, software licensing, publisher packs, normalization, reconciliation, contracts, and reclamation workflows.
- Architect ITSM processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge while promoting appropriate out-of-the-box solutions.
- Drive CMDB and CSDM health through class models, identification and reconciliation rules, discovery patterns, and data-quality KPIs.
- Design, implement, and operate Service Graph Connectors and integrations using REST, SOAP, Integration Hub, MID Server, OAuth, and SAML.
- Define and enforce platform governance covering application scopes, naming conventions, update sets, code review, technical debt, upgrades, performance, and operational standards.
- Review and sign off internal and vendor-produced solution designs and represent the platform in vendor and stakeholder engagements.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, run technical deep-dives, and improve team capability in ServiceNow.
- Monitor the ServiceNow roadmap, including NowAssist, AI Control Tower, and emerging ITAM capabilities, and propose practical adoption opportunities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall IT experience and 7+ years of ServiceNow delivery and architecture experience.
- Deep hands-on ITAM expertise across HAM and SAM, including lifecycle design, license position management, large-scale reconciliation, and audit-defense experience.
- Strong ITSM architecture experience covering Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge.
- Strong CMDB and CSDM architecture experience, including class models, identification rules, IRE behavior, and data-quality governance.
- Proven integration experience with REST, SOAP, Integration Hub, OAuth, SAML, MID Server, and Service Graph Connectors.
- Strong ServiceNow platform administration experience with scopes, update sets, ACLs, performance tuning, and upgrade strategy.
- Hands-on coding experience with JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Scripted REST APIs, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Script Includes.
- Ability to write and review solution design documents and act as a technical authority for design sign-off.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills and the ability to constructively challenge vendors and business stakeholders.
- Required ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
- Preferred ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certifications in two or more of SAM, HAM, ITSM, and Discovery.
- Nice-to-have certifications include Certified Application Developer, Certified Technical Architect, Certified Master Architect, or ITIL 4 Foundation or above.
- Preferred experience includes ITOM Discovery, Service Mapping, ServiceNow AI features, vendor handovers, hypercare transitions, regulated industries, and large enterprise software estates.
