Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance FGA SDKs across Go, JavaScript, .NET, Python, and Java.
- Customize SDK generator templates and wrappers for consistent cross-language behavior and configuration overrides.
- Implement authentication flows, error mapping, retry logic, rate limiting, batch operations, list operations, and non-transactional writes.
- Contribute to SDK generator tooling, templates, Docker-based build workflows, and GitHub Actions CI and release workflows.
- Develop tests with mocked external requests and validate client behavior and release quality.
- Write developer-focused documentation, guides, and examples.
- Collaborate with internal teams to reflect API changes across SDKs.
- Participate in open-source development, community pull-request reviews, code reviews, and post-delivery validation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, ideally building SDKs, libraries, or developer tooling.
- Proficiency in at least one, ideally multiple, of Go, JavaScript or TypeScript, C# .NET, Python, and Java.
- Understanding of SDK development principles, API ergonomics, and cross-language design.
- Experience with code generation tools such as OpenAPI Generator and templating systems.
- Experience implementing authentication flows, retry logic, error handling, and client-side parallelization.
- Experience setting up and maintaining GitHub Actions and release workflows.
- Strong testing practices, including mocking external services and validating client behavior.
- Understanding of version control systems and pull-request-based development workflows.
- Open-source project experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, independent execution, and collaboration skills in a distributed, open development environment.
