Base Salary
$221k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable backend and data systems supporting personalized messaging decisions across millions of subscribers.
- Partner with data scientists and ML engineers to deliver send-time optimization and subscriber engagement models.
- Optimize real-time and batch pipelines for performance, reliability, and operational robustness at scale.
- Improve feedback loops and experimentation frameworks for personalization performance.
- Drive engineering best practices for distributed systems, experimentation, and high-scale personalization infrastructure.
- Improve code quality through code reviews, testing, and advocacy for engineering best practices.
- Contribute to technical decisions and evaluate emerging technologies that enhance the products.
- Participate in on-call and production support across multiple service domains, including incident triage and resolution of customer-facing issues.
- Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to deliver data-driven features and reliable, scalable consumer experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional experience as a software engineer, software developer, or in an equivalent backend software development role building distributed systems.
- At least 7 years of professional experience using Java and Python.
- At least 7 years of experience with object-oriented programming, scalable high-performance applications, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration practices.
- At least 7 years of experience collaborating with product, analytics, and engineering teams to deliver data-driven software solutions.
- At least 7 years of experience using DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka.
- At least 5 years of experience designing, developing, and supporting service-oriented architecture and distributed systems, including AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
- At least 5 years of DevOps experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
- At least 3 years of experience with React and TypeScript for full-stack integration.
