Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain configuration scripts and frameworks used across SAS platform products.
- Design configuration logic and templates using Apache Ant, Ant-Contrib, Groovy, and scripting automation.
- Manage system properties, environment-specific settings, XML configuration, and platform-level customization.
- Implement secure configuration practices involving TLS/SSL settings and certificate integration.
- Support application configuration, system setup, deployment automation, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to configuration tooling, scripting standards, new frameworks, design discussions, and development best practices.
- Perform or support unit testing, integration testing, documentation, and configuration-related quality improvements.
- Collaborate with developers and platform engineers while supporting junior team members and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in software development, configuration engineering, or related roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant field.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, OOAD, software design principles, and design patterns.
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Ant and Ant-Contrib.
- Working knowledge of Groovy, Unix/Linux shell scripting, Windows Batch scripting, XML, TLS/SSL, and certificate handling.
- Working knowledge of Java, SQL concepts, JSON, REST-based systems, and multi-tier application architecture.
- Experience with Git or Gerrit and comfort working in Linux and Windows environments.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipelines, software development processes, quality practices, and deployment systems.
- Exposure to DevOps tools such as Python and Ansible.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Agile tools, and methodologies.
