Base Salary
$213k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver complex full-stack initiatives spanning user interfaces, backend services, cloud infrastructure, and external integrations.
- Lead technical design and architecture for new capabilities while balancing speed, reliability, maintainability, and operational simplicity.
- Build software for configuring, observing, and managing kitchen operations, including orders, menus, recipes, tasks, alerts, and performance visibility.
- Integrate with delivery and commerce platforms to receive orders, synchronize menus, and communicate order state.
- Create and integrate operator-facing and robot-adjacent interfaces for physical production environments.
- Partner with product, culinary, operations, robotics, firmware, and mechanical teams to define and deliver solutions.
- Own projects through rollout and production support, including testing, observability, incident diagnosis, and iterative improvement.
- Contribute through design reviews, code reviews, technical documentation, operational playbooks, mentoring, hiring, and technical calibration.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including ownership of complex systems or initiatives across multiple components.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical design and execution in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Deep experience in at least one backend language; Go experience is valuable but not required.
- Strong frontend engineering skills with modern TypeScript frameworks; Vue experience is helpful but not required.
- Experience designing APIs, services, data models, and asynchronous or event-driven workflows.
- Strong product judgment and ability to translate operational problems into simple, usable software.
- Track record of improving architecture, reliability, testing, observability, or developer productivity.
- Clear written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical partners.
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction without formal authority.
- Nice-to-have experience with AWS, distributed systems, databases, queues, cross-region architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, Protobuf, Python, Terraform, Git, simulation environments, integration testing, SQL, analytics platforms, operational dashboards, and software for physical operations.
