Responsibilities
- Lead measurable technical improvements and new initiatives across the ECS Technology platform and assigned domain.
- Provide architectural authority in technical discussions, refinement sessions, code reviews, and documentation standards.
- Ensure services comply with Experian standards, security policies, governance requirements, and enterprise compliance expectations.
- Coach engineers across multiple teams and develop senior engineers and technical leads.
- Partner with Engineering Managers to identify knowledge and performance gaps and support development plans.
- Guide the use of technical, DORA, reliability, and quality metrics to improve engineering performance.
- Define and refine technical roadmaps with senior partners in alignment with ECS strategy and business transformation plans.
- Promote secure, resilient, scalable, high-quality, and customer-focused solutions across distributed teams.
- Track industry trends and share technical insights across the domain.
Requirements
- 14+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or SDET roles within enterprise environments.
- Experience driving architectural design and technical strategy across multiple teams or domains.
- Background in secure software development and enterprise compliance standards.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures using AWS and Azure and with microservices-based systems.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and reliability engineering.
- Experience using technical metrics such as DORA metrics, reliability metrics, and quality indicators to drive improvements.
- Expertise with modern engineering stacks such as .NET Core, Node.js, and React.
- Experience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS, or equivalent Azure services.
- Experience influencing engineering standards across distributed teams.
- Experience with security, resilience, scalability, and performance best practices.
