Base Salary
$90k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop maintainable site architectures based on business requirements.
- Migrate regional WordPress sites into a single multi-site network.
- Build and harden integrations between WordPress and internal/external systems via RESTful APIs.
- Proactively debug and improve legacy systems while optimizing performance and security.
- Engage with team members and stakeholders to clarify requirements and provide technical updates.
- Manage a high-volume project and task load while maintaining code quality.
- Contribute to reusable tools and process improvements within the engineering culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience engineering large-scale, enterprise WordPress websites.
- Experience developing custom WordPress plugins and themes.
- Advanced PHP expertise.
- Comfortable working within a WordPress multi-site environment.
- Experience with classic WordPress editor and the modern block editor.
- Working knowledge of Git for version control.
- Strong QA mindset with experience in thorough testing and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of complex MySQL database structures and optimization.
- Experience interacting with RESTful APIs and data formats like JSON and XML.
- Experience with WordPress site migrations.
- Self-management skills to operate independently in a fully remote role.
