Base Salary
$149k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define cloud security standards and reference architectures for Infrastructure, SRE, and Product Engineering.
- Set objectives and roadmap for high-impact cloud security work in partnership with Security Engineering leadership.
- Lead cross-functional security initiatives, guiding technical debates and owning outcomes.
- Mentor and uplevel other security and platform engineers through design review and feedback.
- Own threat modeling for new cloud technologies and services across Engineering.
- Partner with teams to design secure-by-default cloud architectures and scalable controls.
- Drive control-plane and IAM security strategy across AWS and GCP.
- Design high-signal detections and SIEM rules for cloud threats.
- Serve as a senior incident responder for cloud security investigations.
- Own and optimize security tooling and lead vulnerability management workflows.
- Set standards for Infrastructure-as-Code and pipeline security.
- Establish best practices for patch management and version management across environments.
Requirements
- Several years of experience owning cloud security in production.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, and self-managed Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in coding, particularly in Python and Terraform.
