Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs for the Supply Chain Control Tower.
- Develop resilient, scalable, and maintainable enterprise applications with a strong focus on backend design and unified data architecture.
- Design seamless data movement patterns and robust backend systems connected to React frontend components through a Node.js Backend-for-Frontend layer.
- Support disaster recovery, capacity planning, performance and regression testing, chaos testing, observability, and reliability processes.
- Contribute to the ground-up architecture of a new platform and resolve complex application and technical issues.
- Apply engineering standards involving code quality, test coverage, authentication and authorization, and Agile development practices.
- Mentor and advise other engineers and recommend technologies for the next-generation Control Tower architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement when applicable.
- At least 2 years of experience in software development or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing solutions through software development life cycles and iterative Agile development.
- At least 2 years of experience with frontend technologies, middleware such as microservices and APIs, database technologies, or DevOps.
- Preferred experience writing technical documentation and developing and implementing business systems within an organization.
