Responsibilities
- Tackle project challenges on EKS, such as implementing Karpenter.
- Collaborate across various teams to drive projects forward using open-source tools.
- Build a deep understanding of Pinterest’s systems to identify risks and opportunities.
- Build tools and automation to eliminate toil and reduce operational overhead.
- Create meaningful, insightful, and actionable SLIs.
- Automate critical portions of engineering processes to minimize risk.
- Manage capacity and performance to scale infrastructure on public and private clouds.
- Use AI for analysis of incidents and system behaviors.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, especially EKS.
- 4+ years of experience with programming languages, preferably Python or Golang.
- Strong experience managing projects and initiatives end-to-end.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools.
- Demonstrated ability to write effective prompts for LLMs.
- Strong track record of evaluating AI-assisted work.
- High integrity and ownership in protecting sensitive data.
- Experience with technologies such as Terraform, Buildkite, and/or ArgoCD.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
