Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain live-service functionality for multiple games, including messaging, VOIP, lobbies, inventory, matchmaking, and microtransactions.
  • Work with distributed backend systems handling millions of players’ data.
  • Collaborate across teams to build highly scalable, secure, and reliable online game services.
  • Improve tooling, workflows, and architecture for online systems while exploring new technologies.
  • Take ownership of work and drive projects forward in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Strong programming skills and at least 5 years of professional experience with Go.
  • Experience with large-scale data-intensive systems.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
  • Ability to take ownership, drive work forward, and collaborate effectively.
  • Professional English communication skills.
  • Bonus: experience with Google Spanner, authentication systems using OpenID or similar standards, C++, game engines, or Unreal Engine.
