Base Salary
$350k - $475k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and extend Tinker APIs and backend services in Python and Rust, including job submission, orchestration, billing, and usage tracking.
- Ship user-facing Tinker console and future tools with React and TypeScript.
- Improve SDK ergonomics, error messages, API design, onboarding flows, and the broader developer experience.
- Improve production reliability, observability, and security, and participate in on-call.
- Build internal tooling that accelerates Tinker research and infrastructure teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language, with Python and Rust used at Tinker.
- Some familiarity with React, TypeScript, or mobile platforms.
- Four or more years of experience building backend systems in production is preferred.
- Experience with scalable backend APIs, developer-facing platforms, ML training or inference products, distributed training infrastructure, job orchestration, GPU scheduling, production UIs, SDK or CLI tooling, API ergonomics, or documentation is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and take initiative across different technology stacks and teams.
