Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
- Design and implement REST APIs, preferably with Django REST Framework.
- Use Celery and Redis for asynchronous and background task processing.
- Write SQL queries and work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL through Django ORM.
- Containerize and run applications using Docker and Docker Compose.
- Debug application issues and analyze logs to resolve problems.
- Write clean, readable, reusable, and maintainable Python code.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established development practices.
- Use Git for source-code management and collaborate with other developers.
- Work with senior developers and team members to understand requirements and implement solutions.
- Learn and adopt new technologies and development practices.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Python fundamentals, including data types, data structures, functions, modules, object-oriented programming, exception handling, packages, and virtual environments.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Django and familiarity with Django REST Framework and REST API concepts.
- Basic understanding of Celery and asynchronous or background task processing.
- Basic knowledge of Redis or similar message brokers.
- Working knowledge of Docker, including Dockerfiles, image building, container management, and Docker Compose.
- Basic SQL knowledge, including SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, filtering, JOINs, GROUP BY, and aggregate functions.
- Basic understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with Git and basic Git workflows.
- Basic understanding of HTTP, JSON, and RESTful APIs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug application issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 0–2 years of experience in Python or backend development; fresh graduates with relevant projects, internships, or demonstrated Python/Django experience are encouraged.
- Strong programming fundamentals, logical problem-solving ability, willingness to learn, and clear communication of progress or blockers.
