Base Salary
$150k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assess and classify customer and business requirements, identify solution risks, and recommend corrective actions.
- Create user stories and detailed designs using mock screens, pseudocode, and functional logic.
- Develop and configure application components that satisfy business, technical, availability, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
- Select appropriate programming languages, development standards, and software tools.
- Build automation scripts for CI/CD, testing, and repetitive processes.
- Implement telemetry, security requirements, monitoring, logging analysis, and application performance analysis.
- Create, execute, and analyze test cases; perform regression testing, defect tracking, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct application maintenance, re-engineering, performance tuning, and evaluation of change requests.
- Ensure project work adheres to approved milestones and timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a listed computer science, engineering, information technology, or related field, or a master’s degree or equivalent with applicable experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in software engineering or a related area through the master’s-degree pathway, or 3 years through the bachelor’s-degree pathway.
- Experience with MongoDB and Cassandra for high-volume distributed data storage.
- Experience coding in Java, Python, and Scala for backend development.
- Experience with Splunk, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka, Java frameworks, Jenkins, MySQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, or Azure as applicable to distributed and cloud-native systems.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, performance tuning, load balancing, caching, sharding, unit testing, integration testing, and Git workflows.
- Experience debugging Java and Python code using Flamegraphs, pdb, and other data-based technologies.
