Base Salary

$100k - $167k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support microservice-based application software using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
  • Build and enhance cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run.
  • Contribute to feature development, user-story definition, technical design, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and delivery activities.
  • Collaborate with business partners, product teams, infrastructure, platform, security, operations, and engineering teams.
  • Maintain source code, application builds, release processes, and technical documentation.
  • Automate software delivery through CI/CD pipelines using GitHub workflows, Tekton, Jenkins, Gradle, SonarQube, and Fossa.
  • Apply automated testing, test-driven development, vulnerability scanning, code analysis, and other quality practices.
  • Monitor performance and availability using Dynatrace or similar observability platforms and investigate production incidents.
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, performance, and availability issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Improve application availability, reliability, performance, scalability, security, and quality.
  • Support data integrations and persistence layers using PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Firestore, MongoDB, and related technologies.
  • Contribute to peer reviews, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and collaborative engineering practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 6 years of professional software-development experience.
  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise applications using Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful services.
  • Experience building cloud microservices and cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Firestore, MongoDB, or comparable relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with source control and automated CI/CD release processes using GitHub workflows, Tekton, Jenkins, Gradle, or similar tools.
  • Experience with code-quality, dependency-management, and security tools such as SonarQube and Fossa.
  • Experience with application monitoring, performance analysis, and production incident response using Dynatrace, Splunk, or comparable observability platforms.
  • Strong commitment to automated testing and test-driven development, with the ability to resolve complex application, integration, and performance issues.
  • Preferred experience includes 3 or more years with PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Firestore, and/or MongoDB.
  • Preferred experience includes Microsoft Azure, Angular, React, Kafka, event-streaming and messaging technologies, large-scale cloud platforms, vehicle diagnostics, automotive systems, and highly available microservice architectures.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.
