Responsibilities
- Explore client needs and drive technical roadmaps and impactful infrastructure solutions.
- Shape and build the company’s cloud and infrastructure practice with business development, marketing, and capability teams.
- Build controls and processes for continuous delivery, infrastructure and application evolution, and automation.
- Lead monitoring and ensure technical expectations for project deliverables are consistently met.
- Provide DevOps, cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering expertise to internal teams and client sites.
- Partner with client engineering and commercial leadership and lead the design and implementation of solutions.
Requirements
- Lead collaborative design of enterprise or web-scale hosting platforms and administer application servers, web servers, and databases.
- Have deep knowledge of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, and application hosting technologies.
- Experience working with software delivery teams and applying DevOps practices, Agile methods, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience with server virtualization, at least one IaaS cloud platform, and two or more application runtime platforms.
- Write scripts in at least one scripting language and build or administer Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools across web or mobile technology stacks.
- Experience with monitoring, availability and performance systems, observability patterns, and stress or performance testing.
- Understand infrastructure vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security, and software supply-chain security.
- Unit testing and automated testing experience is a bonus.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to nontechnical audiences and advise senior IT and business leaders.
