Responsibilities
- Design and implement large-scale solutions that improve the reliability of software applications and systems.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to promote data-driven reliability, monitoring, automation, and SRE practices.
- Manage and scale distributed systems across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Create and develop tools supporting the operational management and security of software applications and systems.
- Identify technology limitations and develop scalable, sustainable improvements using software engineering.
- Lead teams of engineers and influence reliability outcomes across the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Expertise in at least one programming language, such as Golang or Python.
- Strong experience with modern software development practices, Git, and CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or Octopus Deploy.
- Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience leading engineering teams and using observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, Splunk, or AppDynamics.
- Extensive knowledge of Linux internals, networking, containers, and troubleshooting.
- Experience applying SRE practices in large organisations, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Deep experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting applications and systems.
