Responsibilities
- Build strategic relationships with key technology partners and customers.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients.
- Analyze customer business or technical challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise on Ubuntu and related technologies.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to grow customer accounts.
- Develop and present technical sales collateral.
- Propose custom technical solutions based on Ubuntu technologies.
- Champion the technical knowledge required to meet customer needs.
- Assist in preparing responses to RFx documents.
- Travel as needed, primarily within China and the Asia-Pacific region.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, preferably in computer science or software engineering.
- 2 years of experience in enterprise or commercial software development with Linux.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience supporting complex sales cycles with detailed technical requirements.
- Ability to interpret customer challenges and communicate effective solutions.
- Experience deploying embedded and IoT solutions.
- Understanding of security issues in the IoT industry.
- Knowledge of the Linux kernel and related technologies.
- Familiarity with x86 and ARM SoC architectures.
- 5+ years of experience in technical roles with Linux, preferably Ubuntu.
- Familiarity with open source development tools and methodologies.
- Strong grasp of Linux technologies including scripting and software packaging.
- Familiarity with open source software licenses and compliance.
- Strong English and Chinese language communication skills.
- Ability to work productively in a globally distributed team.
- Self-driven personality.
