Base Salary
$129k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain software services that operate reliably at scale.
- Write and maintain agents running across network devices, Linux-based clients, and robotics platforms.
- Handle low-level software deployment concerns including packaging, permissions, configuration, and service lifecycle across operating systems and device types.
- Build backend services that process, analyze, and distribute telemetry data and manage configuration, storage, and reporting.
- Debug issues across the operating system, networking layer, device software, and backend services.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and quality of the systems owned by the team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
- Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience with Linux/Unix, networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline build processes.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience with distributed systems at scale and an Agile environment.
- Preferred: experience with logging and monitoring tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, and Splunk.
- Preferred: experience with embedded systems, consumer devices, mobile apps, systems languages, device agents or daemons, and network operating systems such as SONiC or Junos.
