Base Salary
$120k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement, test, debug, and maintain software components, services, APIs, data-processing capabilities, tools, and user interfaces.
- Deliver well-scoped features, modules, integrations, and defect fixes from requirements and technical designs.
- Participate in unit, integration, system, and regression testing, troubleshoot issues, and support demonstrations and releases.
- Use version control, code review, automated testing, issue tracking, documentation, and secure coding practices.
- Collaborate with software engineers, systems engineers, researchers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Improve the reliability, performance, maintainability, usability, and testability of existing software.
- Develop increasing technical depth and ownership of assigned components, technologies, workflows, and deployment environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Two years of relevant experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software through coursework, internships, research, professional work, or personal projects.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, C++, Java, or Go.
- Familiarity with object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, software design patterns, and version control systems such as Git.
- Familiarity with unit testing, debugging, documentation, code review, and secure software-development practices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required by the U.S. government for clearance eligibility.
- Ability to work effectively on a technical team and communicate progress, technical findings, and blockers clearly.
- Preferred qualifications include an active Secret or Top Secret clearance; familiarity with Docker, cloud services, Kubernetes, or Linux deployment environments; web or API development experience; and experience supporting Department of War, Intelligence Community, or other U.S. Government customers.
