Responsibilities
- Work closely with modeling teams to understand models and deliver them using software engineering best practices.
- Lead efforts to make financial models efficient and scalable.
- Develop and maintain Python backend applications.
- Design and implement APIs and integrate third-party services.
- Implement deployment pipelines and support stable production deployments.
- Support testing and business-as-usual activities throughout model deliveries.
- Automate and streamline software development processes for Global Finance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT, data science, quantitative analysts, and project managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and ensure solutions meet strategic outcomes.
- Manage project delivery, communicate technical concepts, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Represent the team in working groups and committees, including presenting demonstrations.
- Support hiring and talent development from the ADA perspective.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
- At least 1 year of backend development experience.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and deploying software applications.
- Strong understanding of Python and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with FastAPI and RM.
- Experience with testing frameworks and libraries such as pytest and unittest.
- Experience building APIs and microservice architectures.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience with DevOps and deployment pipelines.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with large-data-processing technologies.
- Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and relationship-management skills.
- Understanding of financial markets and software engineering best practices.
