Responsibilities
- Develop and improve production processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
- Build, customize, and maintain monitoring systems for system health, uptime, and operational visibility.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, incident management, and solutions to minimize downtime.
- Support live and test trading system servers and services as part of a global follow-the-sun and weekend support roster.
- Provide second-line support to client services, account management, external dealers, clients, and API users.
- Monitor system servers, ensure appropriate monitoring coverage, and track issues through Jira.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering projects and communicate technical plans, designs, progress, and issues to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams, design documents, technical guides, and other technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and technical standards.
- Use automation and AI-assisted practices to improve production support, code quality, and delivery speed.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in production engineering, production support, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience building and customizing ITRS Geneos monitoring systems.
- Experience with Grafana is preferred.
- Proficiency with Jira and Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Experience implementing engineering projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Ability to use GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot and apply prompt engineering and AI-assisted code reviews.
- Experience with high-speed, high-volume transactional trading systems.
- Strong Python, Linux/Bash, SQL, and XML skills.
- Experience using FIX Protocol.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
