Base Salary
$90k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to small groups of two to three engineers, including offshore associates, on engineering projects.
- Respond to user questions and issues by researching solutions, determining implementation strategies, and explaining system implications.
- Manage small- to large-sized complex projects by translating requirements into technical solutions, developing code, testing, communicating status, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Troubleshoot business and production issues through information gathering, root-cause analysis, solution development, action planning, and documentation.
- Participate in project discovery and high-level design with product management, project management, business, and user-experience teams.
- Develop machine-learning software using Python, cloud technologies, databases, orchestration tools, testing frameworks, and source-control practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience coding in object-oriented Python.
- Experience understanding machine-learning or deep-learning algorithms and packaging models into production-ready code.
- Experience using a machine-learning platform such as Element, Google Vertex AI, or Azure ML Studio.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataproc.
- Experience using SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Concord, Looper, Docker, and WCNP.
- Experience setting up Python unit-testing and integration-testing frameworks.
- Experience using pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow or Astronomer.
- Experience designing efficient end-to-end software architectures with cloud technologies and services.
- Experience using GitHub for software-project change management and code deployment and maintenance.
