Base Salary
$129k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects by defining solutions, timelines, designs, and technical direction.
- Conduct design and code reviews and provide feedback on proposed solutions.
- Troubleshoot business and production issues, perform root cause analysis, and document resolutions.
- Lead project discovery and high-level design with product management, project management, business, and user experience teams.
- Translate requirements into technical solutions, write and maintain code, conduct unit testing, and resolve bugs.
- Provide technical leadership, stakeholder communication, cross-functional coordination, and delivery support.
- Develop and optimize mainframe batch applications, DB2 stored procedures, CICS web services, and related integrations.
- Tune application and database performance and reduce mainframe processing costs.
- Manage secure third-party file integrations and reporting, analytics, and dashboard solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of software engineering or related experience, or a master’s degree or equivalent plus 2 years of experience.
- Experience working with relational databases including BigQuery, DB2, and Teradata.
- Experience developing SOAP CICS web services, IBM DataPower integrations, and scalable mainframe batch applications using JCL, COBOL, and Easytrieve.
- Experience integrating third-party vendors using SFTP, AS2, and EDI secure transmission protocols in accordance with HIPAA and medical standards.
- Experience with Mobius and Infopac reporting, analytics, and dashboard tools.
- Experience using FileAid, Librarian, SPUFI, SYNCSORT, DFSORT, Abendaid, and Expeditor mainframe utilities.
- Experience reducing MIPS consumption through efficient SORT, COBOL, and JCL solutions.
- Experience using DB2 Explain and DB2 SQL Performance Analyzer for performance tuning.
- Experience developing DB2 stored procedures and CICS web services for Angular applications and POS teams.
- Experience using DB2 Unload and Load utilities and CA7 or Control-M scheduling tools.
