Responsibilities
- Lead development and engineering of Axiom ControllerView and related in-house components for Finance Controllers’ regulatory reporting.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, integrate, and deploy scalable software solutions.
- Develop and optimize reliable ETL and data engineering pipelines.
- Improve service quality, availability, resilience, performance, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze technical challenges, evaluate solution options, and make engineering recommendations.
- Resolve technical and production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and meet service-level, security, and compliance requirements.
- Apply secure software engineering and risk-management practices and own technical decisions.
- Provide technical guidance, code-review support, and engineering standards contributions.
Requirements
- Significant software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Advanced proficiency in Python development, including designing, testing, and maintaining production-grade applications.
- Strong ETL and data engineering experience, including developing and optimizing reliable data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, software design principles, and design patterns.
- Knowledge of modern engineering practices, DevOps principles, Git, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL, including data modeling and complex query optimization.
- Experience applying AI and ML techniques to data pipelines, data quality monitoring, engineering productivity, or reporting processes.
- Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, evaluation, and applying models to business problems.
- Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications and workflows using APIs, SDKs, or agent frameworks.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience delivering software within cross-functional Agile teams.
- Strong proficiency with Linux/Unix systems, command-line tools, shell scripting, and production troubleshooting.
