Responsibilities
- Own and build backend system components for customer-facing account and spending insights features.
- Shape the roadmap and deliver large projects end-to-end from technical design through production.
- Drive incident response and own short- and long-term mitigation steps.
- Design scalable, maintainable systems with strong reliability, availability, and security.
- Write high-quality tests and documentation, review code, and contribute to engineering forums.
- Mentor, onboard, and coach engineers while helping build a collaborative and inclusive team.
Requirements
- Experience owning large, impactful backend projects end-to-end and being accountable for their reliability, availability, and security.
- Deep backend fundamentals and strong proficiency in a primary programming language, especially Java and Spring Boot.
- Solid understanding of distributed-systems concepts such as asynchronous communication and event streaming.
- Experience writing well-tested, high-quality code and designing systems for long-term scalability and iteration.
- Experience mentoring and coaching engineers and participating constructively in feedback and collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of Kafka, stream processing, or high-throughput low-latency services.
