Responsibilities
- Develop and expand cloud platform services that power NCR Voyix’s API ecosystem.
- Build large-scale, high-performance, scalable, and resilient applications using Java or another JVM language.
- Design, implement, and test RESTful APIs and write clean, well-tested code.
- Use automated functional and non-functional testing within continuous delivery workflows.
- Contribute project and API documentation, code samples, and answers to forum questions in an enterprise open-source community.
- Address distributed-systems challenges ranging from large clusters to individual atomic locks.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of software development experience.
- Strong development skills in Java or another JVM language.
- Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases.
- Experience designing, implementing, and testing RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with modern frameworks for high-throughput, resilient microservices.
- Understanding of TDD and BDD, with experience using automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with distributed design patterns, high-volume data stores, and horizontal scaling techniques.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Spring Framework, Spring Cloud, vert.x, Node.js, Google Cloud Dataflow, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Elastic DB, Solr, PostgreSQL, GCP, Azure, AWS, or Heroku.
- Preferred experience includes highly available, high-transaction-volume, fault-tolerant systems and public open-source projects.
