Base Salary
$127k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Contribute to real-world projects across the full software development lifecycle.
- Design, implement, test, and integrate code and application components with team support and mentorship.
- Analyze requirements, test features, participate in design and code reviews, and improve code quality.
- Create technical documentation for designs and new features.
- Develop data-driven solutions using machine learning and AI technologies.
- Collaborate with peers and seek feedback while progressively taking on more challenging projects.
Requirements
- Successfully completed F5’s Summer 2026 internship program.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, graduating between December 2026 and September 2027.
- Able to start no later than September 30, 2027.
- Able to work onsite in accordance with F5 policies; fully remote work is unavailable.
- Programming experience in Python, Java, C++, or Go, including APIs or services, testing with pytest or JUnit, and Git-based collaborative development.
- Hands-on exposure to machine learning and deep learning concepts, training and inference workflows, model evaluation, and PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers, prompt engineering, embeddings, search, and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Exposure to ML data handling, including Parquet, ETL, and data quality checks.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred qualifications include FastAPI or Flask, gRPC, LangChain, LlamaIndex, vector search, LoRA or PEFT, MLflow, Weights & Biases, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Spark, Ray, Kafka, or Airflow.
