Responsibilities
- Design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana’s mobile application while owning its reliability, performance, and availability.
- Develop mobile features from ideation and requirements clarification through testing, release, and iterative improvement.
- Build, test, and ship updates through the App Store and Google Play.
- Integrate the mobile application with backend APIs and cloud services.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take operational ownership of the application.
- Influence the roadmap, contribute to design discussions, collaborate across frontend, backend, and mobile teams, and mentor colleagues.
- Contribute to open-source projects and deepen understanding of Grafana’s distributed cloud product and codebase.
Requirements
- Experience with at least one native mobile platform: Android or iOS.
- Strong experience building production Flutter applications, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and maintainable architecture.
- Experience taking mobile features from idea to release, including requirements clarification, solution exploration, building, testing, release workflows, and shipping updates.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code.
- Customer focus, pragmatism, self-direction, collaboration, and strong communication skills.
- Experience with Grafana and Prometheus in operational or hobbyist settings is a bonus.
- Exposure to distributed systems, operations/SRE, infrastructure as code, or open-source projects is a bonus.
