Responsibilities
- Influence the roadmap and collaborate with the team to deliver, evaluate, and iteratively improve new features.
- Drive projects from initial ideation through customer-facing operations.
- Design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana’s mobile application, owning its reliability, performance, and availability.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the application in production.
- Take mobile features from requirements clarification through development, testing, release, and shipping updates to the App Store and Google Play.
- Mentor and support team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate across frontend, backend, and mobile functions.
- Contribute to open-source projects and develop a deeper understanding of Grafana’s cloud product, customers, and distributed-system codebase.
Requirements
- Experience with at least one native mobile platform, Android or iOS.
- Strong experience building production Flutter applications, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and maintainable architecture.
- Experience independently taking mobile features from idea to release, including building, testing, CI/CD workflows, and shipping updates to the App Store and Google Play.
- Comfort integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and cloud services.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code.
- Customer focus, pragmatic problem solving, self-direction, collaboration, and strong communication skills.
- Preferred: experience using Grafana and Prometheus, exposure to microservices and distributed systems, familiarity with on-call or SRE operations, infrastructure as code experience, or open-source contributions.
