Responsibilities
- Influence the roadmap and contribute to career and product objectives.
- Deliver mobile features from ideation through design, implementation, release, and operations.
- Design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana’s mobile application.
- Own the mobile application’s reliability, performance, availability, and operational lifecycle.
- Integrate mobile features with backend APIs and cloud services.
- Ship updates to the App Store and Google Play.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the application in production.
- Mentor and support teammates, participate in design discussions, and collaborate across frontend, backend, and mobile squads.
- Contribute to open-source projects and other initiatives beyond the immediate team scope.
Requirements
- Experience with at least one native mobile platform, Android or iOS.
- Strong experience building production Flutter applications, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and maintainable architecture.
- Experience taking mobile features from requirements through development, testing, release, and shipping updates.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code.
- Customer focus, ownership, self-direction, pragmatism, and strong communication skills.
- Bonus: experience using Grafana and Prometheus in operational or hobby environments.
- Bonus: exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Bonus: familiarity with on-call work, operations/SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code.
- Bonus: experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
