Responsibilities
- Develop, benchmark, and deploy real-time bidding algorithms, pacing controls, and predictive models for performance advertising.
- Build high-performance, low-latency, and memory-efficient backend code for an ultra-scaled platform processing trillions of daily requests.
- Design and deliver software that improves ROAS, conversion tracking, bid efficiency, win rate, fill rate, yield, and platform reliability.
- Work across RTB, targeting, optimization, attribution readiness, auction intelligence, SSP-DSP workflows, OpenRTB, and privacy-aware signal usage.
- Troubleshoot existing features in production and write clean, modular, loosely coupled code.
- Collaborate with Product, Data Science, DSP Partnerships, Publisher teams, SRE, and senior engineers on technical designs and product development.
- Use generative AI tools, IDEs, automation, and prompt engineering to accelerate development, documentation, debugging, and experimentation.
Requirements
- At least four years of development experience in Go and a Linux/UNIX environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, such as Computer Science or Information Technology, or an equivalent degree.
- Good-to-have experience with C and C++.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, system programming, multithreading, multiprocessing, and memory management.
- Working knowledge of Perl, Python, and Shell scripting.
- Experience working with databases, preferably MySQL.
- Understanding of software design, end-to-end product functionality, production troubleshooting, and modular code development.
- Basic understanding of different models and prompt engineering, plus proficiency with AI-assisted coding and awareness of the strengths and limitations of LLM-generated code.
- Strong problem-solving, ownership, self-direction, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
