Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack software solutions across Agile teams.
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers working with distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop features that improve user experience and address relevant non-functional requirements.
- Build and improve local and established deployment pipelines and troubleshoot complex build and deployment issues.
- Debug issues across backend, frontend, middleware, infrastructure, databases, pipelines, and distributed environments from local development through production.
- Identify root causes, implement fixes, and correct affected data.
- Apply and teach modern application architecture and design patterns.
- Provide technical direction and detailed instruction while mentoring engineers and participating in technology communities.
- Use programming languages, open-source technologies, relational and NoSQL databases, containers, AWS services, and serverless technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- At least 11 years of experience building backend services, excluding internship experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with Golang or GraphQL.
- At least 3 years of experience with database technology, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, or DynamoDB, excluding internship experience.
- At least 4 years of experience designing, building, and testing distributed systems, excluding internship experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing strategic projects.
- Preferred: 4+ years with Agile or Kanban software development methodologies.
- Preferred: 4+ years with a cloud computing provider such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: 6+ years implementing functional, unit, integrated, or automated tests supporting Continuous Integration Continuous Deployment.
- Preferred: 4+ years with a server-side application framework such as Django, Express, or Spring.
- Preferred: 6+ years designing, building, and delivering large-scale systems.
