Base Salary
$87k - $157k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes platforms including AWS EKS and RKE2.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications with Docker or Podman and maintain Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests.
- Configure Kubernetes networking, ingress, service discovery, secrets, workload security, and Istio service mesh.
- Design and maintain AWS and on-premises cloud infrastructure using OpenTofu or Terraform.
- Develop Ansible automation, reusable infrastructure modules, deployment templates, and operational procedures.
- Design and operate secure CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitLab Runners, or Jenkins.
- Integrate automated build, testing, security scanning, packaging, deployment, quality gates, and software supply chain controls.
- Administer and integrate software factory tools including GitLab, Jenkins, Keycloak, Red Hat Identity Management or LDAP, Artifactory, Mattermost, Jira, Confluence, and SonarQube.
- Support continuous authorization, continuous monitoring, compliance evidence collection, vulnerability remediation, patching, and configuration compliance.
- Administer and troubleshoot RHEL or Rocky Linux systems and AWS cloud networking, identity, compute, storage, monitoring, and security services.
- Lead troubleshooting across platform, pipeline, networking, authentication, and deployment layers.
- Participate in architecture reviews, design sessions, code reviews, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish engineering standards, maintain documentation and runbooks, and mentor junior DevSecOps engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, science, network engineering, systems software, information technology, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance, with employment contingent on receiving an interim Secret clearance.
- Professional experience with Kubernetes, Git, Istio or a similar Kubernetes service mesh, Helm, Ansible, OpenTofu or Terraform, and Docker or Podman.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting Linux systems, particularly RHEL or Rocky Linux.
- Experience designing, deploying, securing, or operating AWS infrastructure.
- Experience administering, integrating, or troubleshooting multiple software factory applications listed in the posting.
- Practical experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, container delivery, automated security testing, vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, and cATO.
- Experience writing automation with Bash, Python, or similar tools.
- Ability to diagnose complex technical problems across infrastructure and application layers and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Current or obtainable certifications for Security+, entry-level Linux such as Linux+ or LPI Linux Essentials, and entry-level AWS such as AWS Cloud Practitioner.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes, Network+, or CCNA certifications; RKE2 and disconnected environments; Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Falco, AWS GuardDuty, AWS Inspector, UDS CLI, UDS packages, Zarf, policy as code, observability, supply-chain security, AI or large language model platforms, and regulated environments.
