Responsibilities
- Deliver Elastic Stack solutions and professional services engagements for complex enterprise customers.
- Lead customer workshops covering strategy, roadmaps, architecture, design, sizing, requirements, and technical risks.
- Develop proofs of concept and implement Elastic solutions focused on search, analytics, Enterprise Security, SIEM, and SOAR.
- Perform data modeling, query development and optimization, cluster tuning, scaling, and performance benchmarking.
- Manage project objectives, tasks, dependencies, timelines, status, and delivery quality.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, support, and sales teams on feature improvements, product defects, and opportunity scoping.
- Mentor team members and provide customer advocacy, architectural guidance, and technical presentations.
Requirements
- Active Elastic Certified Engineer certification is mandatory.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Consulting Architect or in senior IT functional leadership.
- Strong consulting history delivering professional services engagements in complex enterprise environments.
- Proven experience deploying Elastic Enterprise Security, SIEM, or SOAR solutions and leading Enterprise Security projects at architectural and program levels.
- Experience with Elastic Security or comparable tools such as Splunk, Arcsight, or IBM QRadar; alternatively, at least 2 years as a Security Analyst in threat detection and response, SIEM, or endpoint security.
- Experience solving complex search problems involving relevancy, scale, performance tuning, high query and indexing throughput, and cluster benchmarking.
- Deep understanding of distributed application, database, and systems architecture.
- Hands-on experience with on-premises systems and major public or private cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, networking, security, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
- Corporate programming or scripting experience with languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Exceptional customer advocacy, relationship-building, whiteboarding, and ability to lead architectural conversations.
- Experience contributing to an open-source project or documentation.
- Ability and willingness to travel to client sites periodically, up to 20%.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud provider generative AI certification, additional Elastic certifications, machine learning or data analytics specialization, information security or cybersecurity certifications, MITRE ATT&CK knowledge, pre-sales collaboration, statement-of-work delivery, and technical instruction or public speaking experience.
