Responsibilities
- Deliver Elastic Stack solutions and professional services engagements for complex enterprise customers.
- Lead strategy, roadmap, architecture, design, sizing, requirements gathering, and technical workshops.
- Develop proof-of-concepts and implement Enterprise Search solutions focused on scalability, relevancy, performance, and throughput.
- Perform data modeling, query development and optimization, cluster tuning, scaling, and benchmarking.
- Manage project objectives, tasks, dependencies, status, and timelines to ensure customer engagements are delivered on time.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, support, and sales teams on feature improvements, product defects, technical risks, and opportunity scoping.
- Mentor team members and communicate technical solutions to customer and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Active Elastic Certified Engineer certification is required.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Consulting Architect, Senior Technical Consultant, or equivalent senior IT professional.
- Strong experience delivering professional services engagements in complex enterprise environments.
- Proven Enterprise Search implementation experience, including relevancy, scaling, performance tuning, query throughput, indexing throughput, and cluster benchmarking.
- Experience leading Enterprise Search projects at both the architectural and program levels.
- Experience with GenAI, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and vector embeddings.
- Deep understanding of distributed application, database, and systems architecture.
- Hands-on experience with on-premises systems or major public/private cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Linux, networking, security, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
- Corporate programming or scripting experience with languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Strong customer advocacy, relationship-building, communication, whiteboarding, and architectural presentation skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel to client sites periodically, up to 20%.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Solr, Algolia, or OpenSearch; cloud-provider GenAI certification; additional Elastic certifications; machine learning or data analytics specialization; pre-sales collaboration and Statement of Work delivery; technical instruction or public speaking; and open-source or documentation contributions.
