Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable Elastic Stack and Search AI solutions for complex enterprise environments.
- Lead customer workshops covering strategy, roadmaps, architecture, sizing, requirements, and technical solution design.
- Deliver observability projects involving metrics, logs, APM, UEM, infrastructure optimization, and network visibility.
- Develop proof-of-concepts, data models, queries, and optimized configurations, including cluster tuning and scaling.
- Manage engagement objectives, project tasks, dependencies, status, timelines, and delivery against customer goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, support, and sales teams on product feedback, opportunities, and technical risks.
- Mentor team members and advocate for customers throughout professional services engagements.
Requirements
- Active Elastic Observability Engineer certification is required.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Consulting Architect or in senior IT functional leadership.
- Strong history of consulting and delivering professional services engagements in complex enterprise environments.
- Proven experience deploying enterprise observability solutions at scale, including fleet and agent installation policies and scalability considerations.
- Experience leading observability projects at both architectural and program levels.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools that integrate with service management and a deep understanding of distributed application, database, and systems architecture.
- Hands-on experience with on-premises systems and major public or private cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Hands-on knowledge of Linux, networking, security, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
- Corporate experience using programming or scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Strong customer advocacy, relationship-building, whiteboarding, stakeholder communication, and architectural leadership skills.
- Experience contributing to an open-source project or documentation.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites periodically, up to 20%.
- Preferred qualifications include a cloud provider generative AI certification, additional Elastic certifications, and experience with Ansible, JavaScript, Terraform, pre-sales collaboration, technical instruction, or public speaking.
