Base Salary
$275k - $344k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead incident response end to end across corporate, cloud, and data center environments, including detection, containment, eradication, and post-incident review.
- Build detection logic, response playbooks, and forensic tooling for threats targeting AI infrastructure and model weights.
- Investigate attacks by correlating cloud, endpoint, network, and physical-system signals.
- Establish severity models, on-call rotations, and escalation paths to leadership.
- Conduct threat hunting and improve security controls based on incident findings.
- Partner with security and IT teams to remediate gaps and write incident reports and postmortems for technical and executive audiences.
Requirements
- Experience personally leading major security incidents from initial alert through resolution and making containment decisions under pressure.
- Experience building detection logic and response playbooks that identify real intrusions.
- Experience conducting digital forensics across cloud, endpoint, and network evidence.
- Experience establishing or substantially rebuilding an incident response program.
- Experience proactively hunting for threats and identifying activity missed by existing tooling.
- Strong incident-reporting and postmortem-writing skills for both engineering and executive audiences.
- Preferred: experience defending AI labs, financial infrastructure, or critical infrastructure against nation-state threats.
- Preferred: cloud-native forensics using AWS or GCP, detection engineering, SIEM or SOAR tooling, malware analysis, or reverse engineering.
