Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain performance-critical components using modern C++.
  • Build and support an Office Add-in integrating native C++ components with web-based technologies.
  • Provide architectural guidance on performance optimization, memory management, interoperability, and scalable systems.
  • Design native-to-web solutions using APIs, interop layers, and service communication.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-tested code and conduct code reviews.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver user- and business-aligned features.
  • Own deliverables independently while mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong professional experience with modern C++, including memory management, performance optimization, multithreading, concurrency, and robust application logic.
  • Strong leadership potential and an interest in mentoring engineers and developing toward people management.
  • Interest in using Node.js and TypeScript for backend services and integration layers.
  • Solid experience across the full software development lifecycle in an agile environment.
  • Experience designing scalable systems and applying appropriate design patterns.
  • Familiarity with REST and/or GraphQL API design, authentication and authorization, and service integration.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices is preferred.
  • Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
